Latest Club update (May 13th)

Following this mornings Covid-19 update from ACU Rugby, it should be obvious to all of us that the current ban on Club activity has now been extended until at least July 4th. Whilst this date remains constantly under review – it is safe to assume it will only be revised to a later date rather than an earlier one..... We have made the following alterations to our Trials Calendar based on The ACU permitting Club activities in July..... We are hopeful to hold, in full, the 2020 Pat Death Summer Series Championship, The Nigel Crouch Memorial Trial and the planned 3 Stage Time Trial..... The Winter Series Championship will be reduced from 13 rounds to 11 rounds. Adult riders will need to complete a minimum of 7 rounds with their best 9 results to count. The Summer Series will remain unchanged – Adults will need to finish all 3 rounds to qualify and all 3 will count..... I do need to remind you that all of the above is reliant on a return to trials in July. Any further delay beyond July may result in the loss of the Summer Series altogether and the 3 Stage Time Trial planned for Sept 6th..... The Committee will need to meet once the ACU issue their guidelines on restarting - before holding our first event..... We should all expect trials to be very different for the foreseeable future..... Revised dates as follows: Summer Series Rnd 1: July 12th, Rnd 2: July 26th, Rnd 3: Aug 9th. Nigel’s Memorial Trial: Aug 23rd. 3 Stage Time Trial: Sept 6th.
