2025 Matt Russell Memorial Cup Winner
Matt Russell was a popular and a well-liked member of the Club. He was an accomplished Intermediate class rider who tragically and suddenly lost his life at the age of just twenty-nine.
The ‘Matt Russell Cup’ is awarded annually to the best Intermediate rider at this trial. This year’s winner is Riley True (left) Congratulations Riley! The trophy was awarded by Ross Haydon (right) best friend of Matt.
It was fantastic also to welcome Tony Russell (Matt’s Dad) at the trial today to watch the riders through some of the sections.
Ross, assisted by his son Alfie were also responsible for setting the 8 sections – which all the riders were very appreciative of. An excellent and successful trial all around.
