Special Presentation

7 years ago • 5/9/2017Posted by Wayne Brodie

Representatives from both of the Island’s Trials Clubs collaborated together to make a special presentation visit to Nigel Crouch. Nigel has supported both Clubs for many years..... Pictured with Nigel - left to right: Roy Groves (President, IOWmcc) Christine Jacobs (Secretary, VIPmcc) and Wayne Brodie who has various roles within both Clubs..... It was decided to make these presentations now to help celebrate Nigel’s recent 71st Birthday..... Christine, on behalf of The Vectis Isle Pioneers, handed Nigel a multi picture frame with no less than eleven photo’s documenting his brilliant trials achievements over the years..... Earlier in April this year, Nigel took part in the Wight Two Day, Golden Anniversary Trial. Nigel somehow managed at the age of 70 to not only complete both days, with roadwork, but to emerge as the clear winner in the Original Riders Class with a loss of just 47 marks!...... Roy made two presentations; the first a very unique turned wooden plate, hand made by Roy which features the Club logo & was the prize for winning the Original Riders class. Roy also presented, another hand-crafted trophy, this time for the Wight Two Day Best Endevour, introduced just this year, Nigel is the first person to receive this award.......... Nigel is one of life’s good guys, who would help any of us out given the chance – mate you are a legend!
